TASTING NOTES: Jim Beam is one of the best selling brands of bourbon in the world. The Jim Beam White Label bourbon is distilled at lower temperatures and aged for 4 years in oak. It has quite a high percentage of rye in the mash bill. On the nose subtle vanilla, spice, pine forests, toasted oak and lemon zest with hints of toffee. There are sweet sticky pudding and caramelized fruit in the background. The nose is straight forward and toasty. The palate is very spicy with toasted oak with a mint freshness and hints of pepper. The addition of water brings more citrus and pepper and removes the last bit of sweetness. The finish is long and dry.
